10/13/2013 - Virus? Bacterial Infection? Fungal?

Diseases.  This has always been the main cause and transmission in most zombie lore.  While there are several interpretations of the possible ways it could manifest, virus seems to be the most prevalent.  I will research into viruses that affect brain function and aggressive behavior.  The undeath part maybe too unrealistic, but you never know.  There are viruses and parasites that wait for the death of their host to become active. Some diseases that come to mind right away are Rabies or Spongiform Encephalopathy (Mad Cow disease).  I will begin there.
